Literary Dinners launched

Fiction Uncovered is all about celebrating and discovering writing talent – and what better place to do so than over a scrumptious meal? That’s the mouthwatering concept behind Literary Dinners, whose founders aim to satiate hunger of body and brain. From March they’ll be serving up a menu of gourmet delights in gorgeous settings, all to be enjoyed in the sparkling company of an author.

The first of these pop-up restaurant events features Alex Preston, journalist and author of This Bleeding City and The Revelations, which was published earlier this month to rave reviews. A gripping tale of money, sex and religion, The Revelations lays bare a world in which the advancement of a religious movement becomes more important than the lives of its followers. It breaks all the rules about what’s permissible to talk about over the dinner table. So, excellent conversation guaranteed.

There are only 25 tickets for the event, which takes place at The Dissenters’ Chapel, Kensal Green Cemetery on Thursday 1 March (giving you enough time to read The Revelations, if you haven’t already). Tickets are available from the Literary Dinners website and are priced at £30, which includes a three-course meal, complimentary wine and the evening’s entertainment.

After that there’s the chance to chew the fat with Evie Wyld (After the Fire) and Craig Taylor (Londoners). Keep up-to-date on the Literary Dinners website.
