The Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize is supported by retailers and other literary organisation activity. In-store and online promotions run alongside the Fiction Uncovered PR and marketing campaign and website activity, and reading groups and libraries across the UK get on board. FoylesFoyles is supporting the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize with bespoke displays of the winning books in their stores, and will be hosting a Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize Salon in the newly opened flagship store on Charing Cross Road in September.

The Manchester Literature Festival in October will feature Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize winning authors in an event hosted by chair of judges Matt Haig.




In 2014 we have been working with The Word Factory, an organisation specialising in events and masterclasses for short story writers, to raise the number of short story collection submissions. The Word Factory’s salon on 26 July at Waterstones Piccadilly will also host the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize winners (more information coming soon).

For the first time, self-published writers will be able to submit entries. Working with the Alliance of Independent Authors, Fiction Uncovered has revised the submissions process to include self-published works.
