Spread The Word announce the second London Short Story Festival

PrintLondon’s writer development agency Spread The Word have announced the second London Short Story Festival.

The festival will include talks, workshops and master classes, Q&A’s and readings from some of the world’s finest short story authors including: Ben Okri, Kevin Barry, Laura van den Berg, Jon McGregor, Dame Marina Warner, Deborah Levy, Cynan Jones, Carys Davies, Toby Litt, D W Wilson, Lynn Coady, Joe Dunthorne, Helen Simpson, Niven Govinden, Nikesh Shukla, Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Diriye Osman, May-Lan Tan, Stuart Evers, Krys Lee, Alison Moore, Charles Lambert, Jamal Mahjoub, Rachel Trezise, Kirsty Logan, Francesca Rhydderch, Kit de Waal, Ethel Rohan, Murzban F. Shroff, Elaine Chiew & many more

The festival will also see the launch of Salt‘s Best of British Short Stories 2015 anthology and a special celebration of 10 Years of the BBC National Short Story Award with Book Trust. Spread the Word will also be launching the 2015 London Short Story Prize. This year’s prize judges are Kevin Barry, Jon McGregor and Elise Dillsworth.

The festival will take place over the weekend of 18 – 21 June 2015 at Waterstones Piccadilly. Cynan Jones, whose short novel The Dig was selected for Fiction Uncovered 2014 will be appearing at the festival alongside a stellar lineup of some of the best contemporary Welsh writers in Wales Arts Review presents A Fiction Map of Wales.
